Today we are making Pretzels for dogs! This easy DIY recipe will put a twist on the way you make homemade dog treats! With only 4 ingredients, the hardest part of making this DIY dog treat will be twisting the pretzels!

INGREDIENTS
– 2 Cups of Rice Flour
– 3/4 Cup Rolled Oats
– 1 Egg
– 1 Cup Unsweeteened Applesauce
– Cup of Water (not added into recipe)
DIRECTIONS
Preheat your oven t0 350F. In your Mixer, or in a Bowl, mix together the Rice Flour, Rolled Oats, Applesacue, and 1 Tablespoon of your egg. Stir together to form a nice dough. If you dough is too sticky, add a bit more flour, and if it’s not sticky enough, add a bit a water. You want the dough to be formable, and not falling apart. Take a spoonful of the dough, and roll it into a ball in your hands, then slowly roll it out to be about a pencil sized thickness, and about 8 – 10 inches long. Try to make it about the same thickness for the entire line of dough. This is were the dish of water comes in. If you dough is falling apart as you roll it, just wet your hands a bit to help give it more flexability. Now comes the fun part, making it into a pretzel shape. Watch how we did it in the video. Basically, you make a U shape, twist it twice, and come back and press it into the dough. Once you do it once or twice, it’s fairly easy to do. Now place all the pretzels onto your baking sheet, and brush them with the left over egg. Give them a nice egg wash, this will make them turn brown when cookng them. Bake for 25 – 35 minutes, until they are nice and brown and crunchy. After they are cooled, it’s time for the taste test! I am sure your dogs will LOVE these! You can store these in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
